With Ryan Murphy at the helm, the creators of the FX show "American Horror Story" captivate audiences with a seemingly never-ending series of short but intriguing teaser trailers, the 3 most recent released just yesterday. Ranging in length from a mere 7 seconds to 46, most simply capture the witch/voodoo themes of the upcoming third season, entitled Coven, which premieres one week from today (October 9) at 10 pm Eastern.

Of the 23 teasers released thus far, only 2 (Initiation and Burn) feature multiple cast members, and only 1 (Burn) includes dialogue. Most end with the familiar theme music from the first two seasons. Prior to that, many utilize the beginning portions of two other songs - Lauren O'Connell's haunting cover of The Animals "The House of the Rising Sun," which opens with the line, "There is a house in New Orleans," and the equally haunting opening verbalization "Bum, bum, bum, bum, bum ..." from "Winter Song," by Sara Bareilles and Ingrid Michaelson.

Season one had Murder House, two - Briarcliff Asylum for the Criminally Insane, and three's "House in New Orleans" appears to be the secret witch school known to the world as Miss Robichaux's Academy for Exceptional Young Ladies.
