Summerfest in Milwaukee, Wisconsin runs from June 24 – July 4, 2010 at the Henry W. Maier Festival Park on the Lake Michigan lakefront. With 800 bands, on 11 stages, over an 11 day period, 'The World's Biggest Music Festival' is a great entertainment value, even at the full gate price of $15, but there are even ways to save on that, with the various ticket promotions offering discounts. Following are ways to save on admission to Summerfest in 2010.

The admission promotions encourage patrons to arrive earlier in the day, which is really the best time to enjoy the festival grounds and entertainment, while avoiding the crowds. Arriving in the afternoon means you can stroll around the grounds, enjoy the lake, peruse the schedule and plan your day of entertainment and graze at the many different food vendors located throughout the grounds. Arrive in the afternoon and plan to stay through the evening.

The gate price is less expensive on weekdays. From noon until 5:00 p.m. On Monday – Friday, the admission fee is $8.00. After 5:00 p.m. And all day on weekends, the gate price in $15.00 for adults.

Admission promotion starts at noon and run while ticket supplies last OR through 3:00 p.m., which ever comes first.

Johnson Controls Stomp Out Hunger Day with FOX 6. Bring three (3) non-perishable food items to donate between noon and 3:00 p.m. To receive one free admission ticket. Donations accepted at the Mid-Gate promotions tents and at the North Gate. Donations benefit the Hunger Task Force.

Miller High Life – Give a Veteran a Piece of the High Life Day from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. The first 2,000 patrons (21 or older) who bring six (6) bottles caps from Miller High Life ,or Miller High Life Light, bottle caps will receive one free admission ticket to Summerfest.

Friday, June 25

Cedar Crest 'Flip Your Lid at Summerfest' Day. The first 1,500 patrons to turn in a l id and receiped (dated June 1-June 25) from the purchase of one 48 oz. Cedar Crest ice cream will receive one free admission ticket at the Mid Gate promotions tent. .

Saturday, June 26

Goodwill Industries Day – The first 1,500 patrons who make a donation to a Goodwill Store and Donation Center between June 1 – 26, 2010 and bring in their original donation receipt will receive one free donation receipt.

Sunday, June 27

Jockey Family Day – The first 1,000 patrons contributing $10 or more to the Debra Steigerwaldt Walter Foundation will receive one free admission ticket and a Jockey Being Family Bear.

Scout Day – All Boy Scouts and Girls Scouts of Wisconsin Southeast, in uniform, will receive one free admission ticket at the South Gate promotion booth and ill enjoy a scout scavenger hunt. (noon – 3;00 p.m.)

Sentry Foods and Dean's Milk & Ice Cream Children's Fest Day with TODAY's TMJ4. All patrons arriving between noon and 3:00 p.m. Will be admitted free.. There will be free Children's Fest activities including the Map of Fund and Family Ticket Package giveaways. Some food vendors will offer discounts on food and beverages.

Kapco's 2 Buck Tuesday from noon to 6:30 p.m. All patrons can purchase an admission ticket for just $2, compliments of Kapco. Tickets available at Summerfest.com.

Klements Day – The first 1,55 patrons that provide a label from a Klemen't product (8 oz or larger) and a non-perishable food iteem will receive one ree admission ticket. Donations benefit the Milwaukee Rescue Mission.

Milwaukee Journal Sentinel 'Show Your Smile' Day from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. All patrons wearing the 'Show Your Smile' iron on and presenting the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel coupon will receive $7 off their $15 admission. Patrons who present the coupon only will receive a $5 discount. The Show Your Smile iron ons were in the Sunday, June 20 Milwaukee Journal Sentinel.

Northwestern Mutual 'Make a Smile Day' – The first 1,500 patrons who donate any new indoor children's toy, art supplies or children's G or PG rated DVD movie with a $5 minimum value will receive one free admission ticket. Items must be new, in original packaging, with original tags attached.

H.O.G. Day – Patrons presenting a valid H.O.G. (Harley Owners Group) card at the tent on the northwest corner of Chicage Street and Harbor Drove will receive one free admission ticket.

Malt-O-Meal Day – The first 1,55 patrons presenting an original receipt from any Wisconsin grocer that specifies the purchase of any two Malt-O-Meal cereals (10 oz or larger – dated between June 24-June 2, 2010), will receive one free admission ticket.

Saturday, July 3


CBS 58 Milwaukee/MDA Day – the first 1,500 patrons contributing $10 or more the the Muscular Dystrophy Association will receive one free admission ticket.

Sunday, July 4


Summerfest Free 'til Three Day (noon -3:00 p.m. All patrons attending Summerfest on the final Sunday will be admitted free, compliments of Summerfest.
