Things might be looking up for the Summerfest lineup with the Big Gig's latest announcement. Today, Summerfest announced that Bob Dylan and Willie Nelson will be co-headlining the Marcus Amphitheater on Wednesday July 1.
The presale for this show will start on Monday, April 27 with ticket prices ranging from $25 - $47.50 (before Ticketmaster jacks up the charges).
Though many consider these legends to be on the downside of their respective careers, it will be a treat to see such influential and accomplished artists on stage at the Marcus, and not some other random disappointment like The Fray or Kid Rock.
Dylan's new album, "Together Through Life," will be released in stores next Tuesday, April 28, along with a special edition CD/DVD.
An important thing to note here is that both Dylan and Willie Nelson will be performing at the Rothbury Festival in Michigan over the fourth of July weekend. The Rothbury Festival also includes a slew of great performers over the three-day weekend, and it might be in Summerfest's best interests to book some Rothbury bands before they make their way over to Michigan.
