Summer Wars hanafuda cards unboxing

See also

For many North American gamers, their introduction to hanafuda cards was when they learned of Nintendo's original company origins, as a manufacturer of these flower-themed playing cards. The Funimation-published anime Summer Wars has nothing to do with Nintendo (although the game does feature a Nintendo DS-like gaming handheld), but it does feature hanafuda cards. Originally included in Funimation's press mailings of Summer Wars in 2011 (as well as a limited edition bonus of the Japanese Blu-ray), this particular set of hanafuda cards feature images of various characters from the film.
