As fall is just around the corner, it’s important to think about how to switch up our wardrobes. Now, this doesn’t mean wearing shorts and a tee one day, then leggings and a sweater the next. It should be a smooth transition. Take your warm weather basics right into the next season-- from casual chic, to office-friendly, even day to night! Here’s some guidance on how to go about it.

Try sporting your beach bag into fall. Who says they’re only for the summer? Try to accessorize your look with a beach bag as an everyday carryall as an edge to a basic fall outfit.

Sundresses will stay. As we cannot get enough of these in the warmer months, keep them in your fall lineup. Add a retro leather jacket and booties to any of these florals to make it edgy. It creates the perfect balance.

Keep your shorts in your closet. Living here in San Diego, we know shorts can be worn all year ‘round. Pair them into fall this year with a tight jacket or a sheer blouse. Also, two-piece sets are huge this season. Try it out for a ladylike look.

Scarves & more scarves. Nothing says fall like a scarf. It adds an instant touch of chic and sometimes coziness, to any outfit. These are my personal favorite of fall accessories. In my eyes, you can never have too many!

More importantly, try out new things! Style should be a reflection of you. Keep your summer staples close as we fade into autumn.
