WIth the colder weather fast approaching, the dilemma from the Months of August right up until October, can simply be "What do I wear?" More importantly, "How warm or cold do I dress?" These questions can be answered simply in this article and with some common sense. The best things, really, to wear in these not too warm but not too cool months to come are things you can easily take on and off. The secret is layer, layer, layer!
Cardigans, light jackets (like denim and khaki) that can be worn outside and inside, button down shirts etc... can all be used as layer pieces. You just have to know how to wear them correctly in each outfit. For instance, an extra long boyfriend cardigan would never look right with a mini, but it would look amazing with a pencil skirt (belted of course) or a pair of straight leg or wide leg trousers. You really just have to know how to pair your basics. A collared shirt would look amazing loosely tied at the waist over a tee and jeans, or tucked into a full skirt over the same tee. A denim jacket looks amazing with black dress pants and a colorful tee or jeans and a black tee. Everything is all about balance of color, proportion and fit. It's very simply to layer effortlessly when you have the right style tips. On the right, is a slideshow of items you can buy to layer together to get that look for the not-too-hot but not-too-cold season. Have fun shopping, everyone!
