Summer Shorts Theatre Festival heats up The Arscht Center June 3-27

It's summertime and the livin' is easy at The Arscht Center.  In partnership with Actors Theatre of Louisville, Summer Theatre Festival celebrates their exciting 15th season!

This year's line-up includes an impressive variety of 5 to 20 minute one-act comedies and dramas.  A full-length world-premiere work, Camp Kappawanna, written by singer/songwriter Lisa Loeb and Miami playwright Marco Ramirez will be featured in the festival's run.  The series includes the well-know "Signature Shorts" and the naughty "Undershorts" for the over 17 adult audience.

Showtimes for the "Signature Shorts" at the Carnival Studio Theater are June 3-27 with Thursday performances at 8pm, Saturday performances at 7pm and Sunday performances at 5pm.  The "Undershorts" series will play on Fridays and Saturdays at 10pm.  Tickets are $42.  For tickets visit www.arschtcenter.org or call 305-949-6722.

Looking for an extravagant night out?  On Saturday, June 5, City Theatre will celebrate Opening Night of its 15th Anniversary Season with the ultimate Summer Shorts festival experience - all 15 short plays, plus a delicious dinner by Barton G in one great evening! Tickets for this event are $135 per person, and include admission to the 7:00 pm Signature Shorts Opening Night performance and racy 10:00pm Undershorts series.  For more information or to place an Opening Night order,  contact City Theatre directly at 305-755-9401  x12.
