Summer is almost here and that means that the summer reading programs will be upon us soon! In addition to keeping those young minds sharp and creative, the programs offer some great prizes including Elitch's tickets, free books, and more!

Arapahoe Public Libraries

The theme for the 2010 Children's Summer Reading program for the Arapahoe Library District is "Make a Splash!" For teens, the theme is "Make Waves" and for adults it is "Water your Mind".

Summer Reading will begin on Saturday, June 5th and will run through Saturday, July 31st! Be sure to be at your local library at 10am-12pm on Saturday, June 5th to kick off the program and have some great family fun! Aurora Public Libraries

The theme at the Aurora Public Libraries is the same as Arapahoe, with "Make a Splash at your Library" for kids ages birth through 5th grade, and "Make Waves at your Library" for teens grades 6-12. Upon Registration you will receive a Colorado Rapids ticket, and those completing the program will receive a book and a pass to Elitch Gardens. The program runs from May 22nd to July 18th. Registration can be completed online at or by visiting your local branch during the program.
