In the first part of the article we looked at outdoor movie events in Oakdale, but Modesto also has Family Film Nights in the park. Family and friends can sit under the stars at the Mancini Bowl in Graceda Park, located at; 401 Needham Avenue, Modesto. These free events are held on Fridays at dusk. There is also a one movie event, The Dive-in, at Downey High School, located at; 1000 Coffee Road, Modesto. It's a fun way to enjoy a movie while relaxing in a pool and you are welcome to bring floatation devices. It will be featuring a teen beach movie (to be announced) on July 11th. The pool opens at 7:30 and movie begins at dusk. The movie is free, but pool admission is charged.
For those who prefer to watch a family movie indoors, there is the Regal Summer Movie Express at Modesto Stadium 10, located at; 3969 Mchenry Blvd., Modesto. The admission is $1 and a portion of the proceeds will benefit the Will Rogers Institute. The movies are featured on Tuesdays and Wednesdays at 10:00 am for a nine week duration.
