A few isolated showers and thunderstorms will be a threat after 2 PM, however most locations will remain dry. The thunderstorms will be capable of brief heavy downpours, frequent lightning, and wind gusts over 40 mph. Temperatures will rise into the upper 80's to lower 90's for highs this afternoon and will feel like the mid 90's due to the humidity.
Tonight, a cold front will drive through New Jersey with a line of showers and thunderstorms after 7 PM tonight. The thunderstorms will linger through 4 AM tomorrow morning before exiting off the coast. The strongest thunderstorms will be capable of wind gusts over 40 mph, frequent lightning, hail, and very heavy downpours. Winds will be from the southwest at 5 to 15 mph, veering to the northwest by morning. Temperatures will fall into the upper 50's to lower 60's over northwestern New Jersey and mid to upper 60's throughout the rest of New Jersey.
