Summer Fun for Pooch

My favorite summer event for dogs is the annual Doggie Splash Day events all over the metroplex! At the end of each city pool season there is one Saturday where the pool is open to family's furry members, these events also serve as a fundraiser for the local shelter.

There are many fun activities such as a doggie bathing suit contest, local vendors handing out free toys and such, doggie paddle races and diving contests. Your furry child will have lots of fun making new friends, sniffing around and cooling off in the swimming, pool of course.

Entry admission is usually very reasonable, $5.00 will get you and your pup in the door, in some cities it's $2.00 extra for additional pup's and only $1.00 for spectators just wanting to observe all the fun. But all proceeds go to a good cause and there are usually food and refreshments for sale as well. All pets must have up to date rabies vaccination tag, just to keep everyone safe and healthy.
