Summer is here, and what better way to bring the heat than by learning how to cook an organic meal, or bringing French cuisine straight to your kitchen at Stir Cooking School. Their rich classes offer a unique and exciting experience for all levels of expertise throughout the month of June. Cooks can enjoy numerous options, ranging from seasonal dishes that utilizes the natural freshness of backyard produce, to exploring around the world with “Sustainable Table: Cooking Dinner from your Garden” and “Classic French Techniques and Recipes.”
Guided by Stir’s professional chefs, participants will learn how to create and perfect five different recipes using classic French techniques, during “Classic French Techniques and Recipes” on June 5th at 6:30 p.m. The menu consists Goat Cheese and Arugula Soufflé; Savory Herb Crepes with Gruyere Mornay Sauce (Classic White Sauce with cheese); Bacon and Leek Quiche; Trout Almondine with Haricot Vert; and Vanilla Creme Brulee. Pricing is $75 per person.
Later in the month, cooks will learn how to create an ultra fresh dinner using ingredients commonly found in your own backyard, during “Sustainable Table: Cooking Dinner From Your Garden,” on June 17th at 6:30 p.m. The menu consists of Spinach Salad with Strawberry Vinaigrette; Perfect Gazpacho; Pan Seared Flank Steak with Sautéed Cherry Tomatoes; Arugula and Balsamic; Red Creamer Potato, Green Beans and Corn Salad; Watermelon and Raspberry Sorbet. Pricing is $69 per person.
Owned by Denver native, Chef Katy Hume, Stir first opened for business in November 2010. Stir offers a variety of cooking classes for all ages and skill levels including: baking, date night, holiday cooking, vegetarian, wine pairing, farmers market, kids cooking, mixology, International cooking and family friendly, among others.
