Summer is definitely here and there's still plenty of ways to enjoy it with some frugal family fun here's some ideas where to do that in the Tulsa area:

Free summer concerts: Utica Square's Summer's Fifth Night every Thursday 7-9p.m. You can stroll, shop, and dine in Utica square or pack a picnic and enjoy the various live music acts. Please see their website for more information.

Thursday Night Live is every Thursday night at Broken Arrow's Farmer's Market Plaza 7-8:30p.m. Bring your lawn chair and refreshments and enjoy the variety of music acts. Please see their website for more information.

First Friday Concert Series in the gardens of Lafortune park 7-9p.m. The next one is coming up July 11 and then it's the first Friday of the month until Sept. Bring a blanket or lawn chair and enjoy the various types of music. Please see the Tulsa county parks website/activities guide for more information.

RiverWalk Crossing in Jenks has free concerts most Saturday nights starting at 8p.m. until the end of Aug. You're welcome to come early and check out the kids zone or just enjoy a nice stroll along the river. Please see their website for more information.

Guthrie Green -Also has free summer concerts on many days. Additionally there's also story time and food trucks on Wednesdays, fitness classes, Sunday market, and more. Please see their website/events for more information.

Taste of Summer-July 19, 10a.m.-5p.m. at Central Park in Broken Arrow. Blue Bell and the BA Chamber is hosting an outdoor event where you can eat endless ice cream, listen to local bands, enjoy arts and crafts, and more family friendly activities. Admission cost is $5 per person (kids 3 and under are free) Please see their website for more information.

Pools and Splash pads -There are many pools, splash pads, and water playgrounds in Tulsa. Please see their website for more information. Also there's Tulsa County park pools and at 4 of them they are having a Splash Bash on July 23, 12p.m. where you can enjoy music, food, pool games and prizes-tickets are $5 per person. Driller's Baseball -You can enjoy the many home games going in downtown Tulsa this summer. With discount tickets days, fireworks some evenings, and many other promotions. Please see their website for more information.
