Wondering what you will be doing this summer? Starting to consider different options for summer camps? There are tons around, almost every educational service you turn to has something. I just wanted to shed light on some of the camps around town.
Learn Beyond The Book, that normally offers classes for homeschoolers during the semester, are having some summer camps this year as well. Their camps include things like Video Game Design, Ceramics, Kitchen Science, Improv and Theater games, Dungeons and Dragons Club, Math Games, Beginning Band and much more. For all the info on these, you can go to this link. There is something for everyone, ages 5+ and some camps are once a week for a few weeks, some are for a week long, and if you can’t make it every week, your cost will get pro-rated.
If your child is really into Legos, another fun camp idea would be Lego related camps such as those offered by ASE Enrichment, Inc. ASE also offers other camps, such as Art and Cooking, and even some martial arts. They are being offered a week at a time, all throughout the summer.
You might already be aware of another great resource through the Parks & Rec publication called Seasons magazine. They offer tons of fun and interesting camps as well. Their summer camps should be announced any day now. Look for the magazine in your mailbox or you will also be able to access the camps online.
If you want your kids to keep working on academics in the summer, Care Learning Academy offers academic summer camps that also include fieldtrips and fun activities. Check out what they have to offer at this link. Their camps are really ideal for those parents who work full-time and need their kids somewhere the whole day every day of the summer, although there is still flexibility even then.
With Spring in the air, I know we are all looking forward to summer soon, so let’s make the best of it with some fun and exciting camps!
