Summer 2014 has arrived, and many parents are looking for quality summer camp experiences. It can be a challenge to find quality camps that are developmentally appropriate with camp counselors who are trained to work with young children, and parents must do their homework to find a camp that will provide developmentally appropriate activities provided by a summer camp for little ones. Camp experiences for young children have flexible hours and schedules. Some camps will also provide after-camp childcare if parents need longer hours after the camp activities are over.
There are many organizations in Sarasota that are providing great summer camp experiences for little ones this summer. The camp counselors are trained to provide activities that are safe, educational, and full of fun for the little ones. Summer camps will launch next week, and registration is open for the summer.
Check out these camps in the following list that are specifically designed for ages 15 months-kindergarten. All camp counselors at these summer camps are trained to work with young children and all camp activities will provide great summer experiences for little ones.

*The Ringling ROAR program has not forgotten the little ones this summer. June 6 begins reading activities for ages 4-7 every Friday in June. The ROAR program at the Ringling Art Museum in Sarasota offers developmentally appropriate reading experiences correlated with art. Young children begin reading by using the illustrations in books to tell them what the words say, and the ROAR program provides early literacy activities based on the skill of using pictures and stories to learn to read. Activities will begin at 10:30 a.m. on Fridays in June. The Ringling Art Museum is located at 5401 Bayshore Rd. in Sarasota. Registration is required. Parents may log on at firstname.lastname@example.org for registration. The activities are free.
Give your young child a quality summer camp experience that is designed specifically for them this summer. They will want to participate in future summer camps after having fun with these experiences this year.
