Summer Buzz: tropical cocktail with Malibu rum, easy drink to make, yummy too

If tropical cocktails are your thing, you are going to love this summer drink made with Malibu rum! This is an easy cocktail to make. All you do is shake it!  So, if you need a summer buzz, try a simple Summer Buzz cocktail!

Summer Buzz Cocktail Recipe

5 ounces orange juice or pineapple juice (or a mix of the two)
1.5 ounces Malibu coconut rum
1.5 ounces Malibu pineapple rum
maraschino cherry
splash of the maraschino cherry juice
ice cubes

Shake all of the ingredients in a cocktail shaker with ice. Pour into a tall glass filled with ice. Garnish with a maraschino cherry.  It's as easy as that!  

Remember to keep cocktails out of the reach of children!

Sanford Shopping Tip: If you live in Sanford, you can buy the alcohol you need to make this cocktail at either Hannaford or Shaw's. Walmart does not sell hard liquor in Sanford. Hannaford is located at 800 Main Street (north of downtown) and Shaw's is located at 1364 Main Street (in the Center for Shopping in South Sanford).

Sanford Shopping Tip:  If you are throwing a cocktail party in the Sanford area, you must check out the party supplies and party decorations at Marden's Surplus and Salvage. They have everything you need to make your cocktail party a hit! Marden's Surplus is located at 1247 Main Street in Sanford. You can also shop at the two dollar stores for some good bargains on things like cocktail napkins, disposable cocktail glasses, cocktail stirrers, etc. The Dollar Tree is located at 1364 Main Street (Route 109) in the Center for Shopping. Family Dollar is located at 890 Main Street in the upper level of the Mid Town Mall.
