Summer brings jazz in the Market and Courtyard

Two more Northern California summer jazz series have set their 2014 schedules.
The Sonoma Valley Jazz Society has announced the lineup for the 26th annual Tuesday Night Market Jazz series. Performances are presented 6-8:30 p.m. every second in the City of Sonoma Plaza’s Grinstead Amphitheatre. The concerts are associated with the Tuesday night farmer’s market.

June 10: Octobop
July 8: Nicolas Bearde Quintet
August 12: Richard Howell
September 9: Rolando Morales

A tad farther afield is Jazz at the Courtyard, which comes courtesy of downtown Sacramento’s Crocker Art Museum. Performances are held at 6 p.m. the third Thursday of each month.

May 15: Peter Petty and his Titans of Terpsichore
June 19: Vivian Lee
July 17: MJ’s Brass Boppers
August 21: Marcus Shelby
September 18: Garret Perkins
