Take the family or make it a date – the Buffalo Museum of Science, located at 1020 Humboldt Pkwy. in Buffalo, is fun for all ages! Here are a few of the events and exhibits taking place in August.

Mummies of the World – now through September 21st featuring interactive and multi-media exhibits plus a collection of real mummies and artifacts from around the world – some mummies date back as far as 4,500 years! Timed tickets for the exhibit are $22 for adults, $21 for seniors (62+) and $18 for children 2 to 17 (must be accompanied by an adult).

Seasonal Cooking Series: From Garden to Table – Monday, August 11th from 3 to 4:30 p.m. The series of cooking classes follows food from garden to table, preparing items with different seasonal fruits and vegetables. Cost is $5 for Museum members, $7 for non-members (plus Museum admission).

Delicious, Health-Boosting Desserts – Thursday, August 21st from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Learn to make unique desserts from natural ingredients and superfoods. Cost is $5 for Museum members, $7 for non-members (plus Museum admission).

National Geographic 3D Cinema – check out the new films featured in August: Mummies 3D: Secrets of the Pharaohs and Mysteries of the Unseen World. Tickets are $2 for members and $4 for non-members.
