Get ready for the Summer 2011 edition of Endless Summer Quarterly. The new issue will be mailed out on Friday, July 22. The edition features an exclusive interview with Mike Love discusses the 35th anniversary year of the 1976 LP 15 Big Ones. Love discusses the album, reuniting with Brian Wilson, Al Jardine and Bruce Johnston for the re-recording of "Do It Again," Edgar Cayce, his sense of humor and humanitarian causes. The interview offers a great deal of insight.
The new issue also includes breaking news and information on Al Jardine's physical CD of A Postcard From California (being released soon on Waterfront Entertainment / Robo Records), with a previously unearthed bonus track that includes Carl Wilson. The song is called "Waves of Love," and dates back to 1994. The exclusive story behind the recording is in the new ESQ.
Also, David Marks shares a heartwarming homage to his and Carl Wilson's guitar mentor, the late John Maus (of the Walker Brothers).
The Fall 2011 edition of ESQ will be a celebration of the SMiLE album, with exclusive content and interviews.
