Sulphur man arrested in connection with theft from Sam's Club

On April 23, 2014, Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office detectives arrested Tony W. Gregg, 40, 2110 Huey Miller Road, Sulphur, in connection with the theft of four televisions, worth over $2,200, from the Sam’s Club in Lake Charles on February 20. His arrest was due to a tip called into Crime Stoppers from someone who recognized Gregg from pictures of him captured from the store surveillance video. The pictures were featured in the local media and on social media sites requesting assistance in identifying the man in the pictures.

When questioned by detectives, Gregg confirmed he stole the televisions from the Sam’s Club. Gregg also advised detectives he was in possession of synthetic marijuana.

Gregg was booked into the Calcasieu Correctional Center and charged with 2 counts of theft over $500; and possession of marijuana. His bond is still pending.
