Super Heroes is the theme of this year’s Unhaunted House at Sulphur Creek Nature Center.
“Let Spiderman, Cat Woman, Batman, and their friends show you how their wild animal partners help them conquer evil and save the day!” You can meet an owl, tarantula, opossum, and many other “super hero critters.”
Sulphur Creek is a wonderful way for kids to get up close and personal with animals they may never otherwise see in person in a safe environment with knowledgeable staff and volunteers.
The Unhaunted House is the focal point of this festive and magical time outdoors for children of all ages including crafts, games, story telling, night hiking, and a campfire by which they can roast marshmallows. Sulphur Creek celebrates the traditions of Halloween without the spookiness that can oftentimes intimidate younger children. At the Unhaunted House kids don’t need to be afraid of the dark; they just need to dress warmly for an evening under the stars playing and enjoying the season with other local East Bay families.
Tickets sell out fast and are organized by tour appointments, so purchase early online to get the day and time that works best for you. Adults must accompany children under twelve through the Unhaunted House and must also purchase a ticket, but they will be glad they did. It really is not to be missed, even for adults!
Tip: The parking lot can fill up, so be sure to arrive with plenty of time to get to your tour appointment if you need to park on the street and walk in.
