Katrina: “It’s a good thing you are going to law school because they may sleep with the paralegals, but they marry the lawyers.”
“Normandy” is the newest episode of Suits. If you haven’t seen the episode, then beware of spoilers. To review last week's case file, click here. The Suits season finale airs next Thursday night at 9 on USA, channel 21 for Houstonians.
Pearson Hardman (or is it just Pearson now?) is low on funds, and that leads to vultures returning to pick off their cases. This time, however, it leads to a joint venture and even a merger. Now what’s a little confusing is the merger talk. Scottie’s boss Edward flies into town to have a meeting with Jessica and drop more money, a lot of money. His storyline with Jessica is clearly important, but there is so much else happening that it is hard to focus on it all. What did you think of the case aspects of the episode?
Some employees of Pearson Hardman aren’t playing nice, and for once Harvey and Louis aren’t associated with this. Katrina seems to be having issues playing nice with others. She goes up against Mike and Rachel in this episode. Basically what this does is paint a pretty bad picture of Katrina. It was easy to root for her as she went up against Louis, but in this episode it is hard to find any sympathy for her. Unless the writers want her to be unlikeable, they are going to have to do a little bit of damage control. The way she treats Rachel is probably her worst offense. Do you still have some nice feelings about her?
Rachel finally hears back from Harvard, and unfortunately, it is not good news. This is an interesting direction for the storyline to take. It’s not completely unrealistic, and maybe it is setting things up for some great storylines. Maybe she will end up going to law school closer to work, and maybe this is how the writers plan to keep her around a little bit longer. What’s really great about this storyline is that it highlights Rachel and Louis’ friendship. She tells him that she didn’t get in, and he fights for her, and even goes so far as to lie and say it is his fault just so she wouldn’t know the truth. Did you fall in love with Louis a little bit more in this episode?
