Fans of the USA Network’s hit show “Suits” are already missing Manhattan's top corporate lawyers Harvey Specter, Mike Ross or Louis Litt. In what has to be one of the shortest seasons on cable television, there was only six episodes aired before the fans need to wait until summer to see the show again for a new season. According to Hollywood on Thursday, this method of short series seasons is becoming common practice.
So what was jammed into six episodes? A partner had a heart attack, Mike Ross almost leaving the firm and a big threat from a government agency looking to target Harvey Specter by arresting Mike Ross. There was the typical tug of emotions as the law firm tried to keep the peace and resolve issues. While the "Suits" stories were strong, now fans have to wait for weeks before seeing more of the popular show and people are wondering if the story is going a little too fast.
How do the fans feel about waiting for the next set of shows? It’s not like they have much choice, but viewers are a bit perplexed. It doesn't feel normal to have a short run of episode in the middle of the summer and sometimes people forget the show is coming on until after it starts airing again. No word yet on if this will be just another six week season, or if the show is considering a longer airing time.
While “Suits” has to be one of the best shows on television, the hope in the future is that viewers get to see it over a couple months instead of six weeks. Watching Harvey deal with Mike is quite exciting, but lately there hasn't been enough time to see all of what they get to do!
“Suits” returns to the USA Network in the summer. That’s only six weeks away, give or take depending on when the show debuts, but it seems like forever.
