Rachel: “You are suing for custody? Louis that’s insane.”
Louis: “He abandoned her.”
Rachel: “He went on a business trip.”
People go to court for a lot of silly things. Louis goes to mock trial for a cat, Nigel’s cat. This is a strange storyline. It’s funny, yes, but all of this for a cat? Why can’t Louis just buy another cat? Once you get past all of the cat drama, there are some great things about this storyline. Rachel gets a chance to be a lawyer. Her relationship with Louis has always been fun to watch, and so seeing the two of them together is fantastic. The biggest shock during this mock trial? Harold is back! Oh yes, it is glorious. Did it surprise you that Louis would sue for someone else’s cat?
This episode certainly ends with a bang. As it turns out, Stephen is the one who ordered the murders. This twist is hard to make sense of. Yes, the writers did plant some clues leading up to the reveal in this episode. There’s Mike bringing up that Stephen played rugby, and there’s Jessica’s conversation with Darby where he talks about how Stephen is his fixer. All of that aside, it still takes some getting used to. This twist is potentially a way for the merger to end, but if that does happen, is the law firm in better ground or do they still need another firm to help save them? What are your thoughts on the twist?
Here are quick thoughts on elsewhere in the episode. Jessica is one person you really don’t want to upset, and she proves why in this episode. The best part about the Jessica and Harvey drama is Mike. He is in the background for the most part, but he does his best to step up and help them get past this. It’s hard to tell whether or not Jessica and Harvey are better by the end of the episode. Perhaps learning about Stephen will unite them. Then there’s Donna. Things are not going well for her. Hopefully the writers will show her dealing with this news about Stephen in the next episode. It is great to see her and Mike have a moment even though it’s brief. What did you think of the episode?
