Everyone loves a great sale -- and a great sale to benefit a great cause? Even better!
Next Tuesday, February 12, 2013, from 4PM - 7PM, join the ladies of Suited for Change (SFC) at 1000 Vermont Avenue NW, Suite 420 for a Valentine's Day Party and Fashion Sale.
While you're there, they're even throwing in a free glass of wine and some tasty hors d'oeuvres for you while you shop amazing deals, including everything from professional attire (namely suits, coats, dresses, pants, shirts and skirts) to shoes, handbags and accessories.
With prices ranging from just $1 to $15 (yes, you read that right), what's seriously not to like?
To further sweeten the deal, SFC is celebrating the month of love by taking 50% off all specially-marked RED items as well. With the money you save, plan on purchasing a raffle ticket: prizes may include gift cards, purses and a Suited for Change tote!
Founded in 1992, Suited for Change has empowered more than 20,000 women in the DC metro area to become self-sufficient by providing professional clothing and career and life skills training to help them transition and succeed in the workforce.
All proceeds from the monthly shopping events, including next week's Valentine's Day Fashion Sale, will go directly to SFC to continue offering their services at no charge to their clients. The women they serve include local homeless women, survivors of domestic violence, teenaged mothers and senior citizens, as well as women who have overcome addition.
"We started doing these sales in order for our clients to come back after they received a job and continue to get work-appropriate clothing," shares Daniella Burgos, SFC's Development and Communications Associate.
"We have opened it to the public because we know that women everywhere could benefit from these prices and the clothes."
"We have brand name clothes, shoes, purses, and accessories. Sometimes we will even get clothes that have been donated from a designer [...] We have lots of regulars that come in after work with women from their office and shop."
So there you have it, DC ladies. If you're in need of a shopping break after work next week, you know where to go for great sales and a great cause!
