Elea is this week's SuicideGirl gamer of the week. She is a lifelong gamer that, like many of us, seems to currently be addicted to The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim. I spoke with her about her favorite games and movies and she even educated me on the meaning of the phrase "42" (because I am a noob).
Tell me a bit about your taste in video games. What are some of your favorite all-time games?
One of my all-time favorite games is Monkey Island, with my favorite character being Murray. Day of the Tentacle, Gnap, Final Fantasy VIII, and Blade Runner are very high on the list as well. Other than that, I like open RPGs, a few Wii games, and a lot of older building games like Caesar III, Warcraft, and Sim City 2000.
Blade Runner like the PC game from the 90's? I loved that game!
Yes exactly! I was maybe 14 years old when I played it but the fact that I still think about it is a reason why this is still on my list of favorite games. My dad had pirated it from somewhere. It was about six or seven CDs long. I remember how nervous I was every time I played it because I got so much into Deckard’s character. Pris and Rachael already were so amazing to me back then because of the movie. One of the most mesmerizing scenes for me was when Pris confronts Deckard in the sewers and you do the test on her. But for some reason I never finished the test and bailed on her.
Let's say the Voight-Kampff test was real, and you took it only to find out that you were actually a replicant. How do you react?
I would get me a Skeleton Key and become a master thief that might put Catwoman and Carmen Sandiego to shame. Try to live a luxurious life in a place far away where nobody would look at me like I’m crazy when I run through the streets dressed up as Pris. Probably Harajuku- Tokyo. If I’m ever missing, look for me there.
Are you really into any other sci-fi shows/movies?
I’m far from an expert when it comes to sci-fi since I’m more of a horror fan, but I do have my favorites. Logan’s Run, Star Wars, and the Alien movies come to mind. Yea I wish I could say more about this subject… uhm…42!
Hahaha. 42 is the meaning of life as per Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy.
What games are you currently playing?
I’m currently playing Skyrim and Lego Batman, but Skyrim has slowly been taking over most of my time. There are just so many quests to do and areas to explore while Lego Batman is really more fun with two people playing it.
What would you say is your favorite part of Skyrim?
As far as the game itself, I would say I love the fact that you can mine, make weapons, cook, and chop wood. Although my smithing skills are the worst I have to say. I just love the idea of being able to do it. I’m more of an alchemist.
I love the fact that unlike Oblivion, you can now level up by training any skill. I’m very bad at sticking with one fighting technique for the whole game. In Oblivion I was kind of a berserker. Heavy armor, two handed sword. Lots of smashing things and people. This time I’m taking more of a subtle approach. The first thing I did was seek out the Dark Brotherhood and get me the shrouded armor and a good bow. Much more sneak-killing going on this time.
My favorite area in the game is Blackreach. It must be one of the most beautiful game places I’ve seen since Final Fantasy X. The huge glowing mushrooms and the crimson nirnroot, oh my. All over I’m a big fan of the Dwemer ruins as opposed to the elven ruins in Oblivion.
Have you played the Hearthfire expansion and built a house yet?
Since I didn’t have an Xbox during the time I got Skyrim, I haven’t played any of the add ons. If they ever make it to PlayStation, I’d love to.
So the only house I have right now is in Proudspire Manor in Solitude. I bought it before I found out I could get the Stone of Barenziah in there with the Solitude Fletchers Key. If I had known this before, I would still live in my guild master room in the Dark Brotherhood Sanctuary.
Who did you end up marrying in-game?
I married Senna. The priestess upstairs in the temple of Dibella in Markath. Honestly I didn’t put too much thought into it. After she told me I was “lovely to look at” I guess I was just smitten.
So what it is like being a SuicideGirl. How did you first get into modeling?
Being a Suicidegirl is exciting when it comes to attending events such as Comic and Tattoo Conventions. I love meeting people I wouldn’t have the chance to, if it wasn’t for SG. Hanging out and talking to fans and members of the site is always fun no matter where I go. In everyday life, it is far less eventful than you might think. Nobody recognizes me or even knows SG down here in middle Georgia. I don’t pursue modeling much outside the site however. I first found out about SG via DeviantArt. So this is where it all began.
Tell me about your tattoos, how many do you have?
People ask me this fairly often and yet I still have to count in my head. But the answer is seven. The key on my arm that’s incorporated in the flowers, is a separate piece done by the lovely SG Dwam. A bird on my back covers up a bad choice I made when I was 16 years old. No, I’m not telling what it was.
The tattoo on my foot is a homage to my parents. An anchor, a scroll with an empty treasure chest and a bottle of Cabo Wabo. Their wedding date is there to forever remind me of how wonderful a happy marriage can be.
My favorite piece, the flying banana, does not have any meaning. I like bananas. Wings are pretty. Bam! Flying banana. Isn’t it obvious?
I also have a big portrait of a cat dressed as Marie Antoinette on my thigh. She was an Austrian princess before she got married off to France and well, I’m from Austria so I feel a certain connection to her.
The newest piece of work I got is a fly on my foot next to the banana. It is a “sister tattoo” in the making together with SuicideGirls Yesenia, Waikiki and Photographer SoBelle. It is commemorating a big multi-set we shot together with many other girls in Florida during a SG vacation. It is in the making in regards that other girls are still working on getting their fly done.
My plans for next year are to get my sleeve finished. I have put this off for far too long now.
Where can fans find more of you?
