HBO’s Entourage continues its final season with the third episode that aired last night; let’s recap all of the addictastic events that went down.
What happened last night on Entourage? Who killed them self in a drug induced farewell to troubled times? The episode was aptly entitled “One Last Shot” which just so happened to have meaning on a number of levels during last night’s episode. Vincent Chase (Adrian Grenier), Johnny Drama (Kevin Dillon), Ari Gold (Jeremy Piven) and Carl Ertz (Kim Coates) all experience one last shot in one way or another on last night’s Entourage.
Once again, last night’s episode of Entourage was so scattered that I found it hard to keep up with what they were actually trying to accomplish. The episode starts off with Vincent Chase (Adrian Grenier) at a drug addiction meeting; in walks Carl Ertz into the episode. For those that have been watching the show, he is the producer that screwed over Vince on the movie “Danger Beach” during season 5. Full of forgiveness from rehab, Vince agrees to let Carl help him on Johnny’s new made for TV movie. This is Vince’s “One Last Shot” as he attempts to give Ertz another chance.
Moving on to Ari and his “One Last Shot” at trying to get over his wife; post separation. After a failed date with one of Lloyd’s (Rex Lee) female friends, Ari calls up his old pal, Dana Gordon (Constance Zimmer). After a love affair, the next morning we find out just how serious their relationship was before Ari married Mrs. Gold (Perrey Reeves). Apparently Ari and Dana were going to get married and Ari bailed. Have we finally found out what is going to happen to Ari Gold’s love life on Entourage?
Andrew Dice Clay and Johnny Drama gave “One Last Shot” at getting a pay increase for their cartoon Johnny’s Bananas. The end result was Andrew Dice Clay leaving the show and being replaced with none other than…Jamie Kennedy. (Glad to see he’s still alive) Will the show sink before it even airs? Can they persuade Andrew Dice Clay to come back? Things aren’t looking good for Drama but then again, that’s the norm for him on Entourage.
Last but not least, we end last night’s episode of Entourage with perhaps where the title “One Last Shot” originated. Vince and Turtle (Jerry Ferrara) take a meeting at Carl’s house only to find out he wants Vince to star in a movie. On top of all of this, Carl Ertz has fell off the wagon and is all hopped up on cocaine. The episode ends with Carl in the bathroom, E (Kevin Connolly) yelling at Vince on the phone and then… BANG! Turtle busts down the bathroom door as him and Vince look on at a dead Carl Ertz; he just committed suicide by shooting himself in the head.
All in all, it wasn’t a great episode of Entourage but it wasn’t awful either. I’d love to hear what you all thought about Ari’s love affair, the Carl Ertz suicide and the turmoil on the set of Johnny’s Bananas. Comment below.
