We learned in the previous article that sharing your Passover or Easter traditions is a great way to bond with your stepchildren, but what do you do if you're just too busy to plan these events in your own home?
As always, New York City comes through. There are more family events going on than you can imagine.
Mommy Poppins, an awesome website (with an equally awesome name) and an invaluable resource of activities for kids, cites 9 Easter Egg hunts in Manhattan alone! And don't forget the Macy's Flower Show or the Easter Parade and Easter Bonnet Festival.
If you celebrate Passover, but the thought of cleaning your house and cooking for everyone is too overwhelming, the 92Y has a Passover Seder planned that sounds like a ton of fun for everyone.
The bottom line is, spend time with your stepchildren. No matter what you do. And as Jeannette Lofas, President and Founder of the Stepfamily Foundation, says in "Ten Steps for Stepfamily Holidays", "Keep your sense of humor and your vision of the spirit of the holiday."
Happy Easter Egg or Afikoman hunting!
