If you visit Sephora as often as I do, then you will have noticed that the company has recently revamped their nail polish line. Sephora discontinued their OPI for Sephora polishes and replaced them with the Formula X polishes. The Formula X polishes are grouped according to finish/type of polish, such as the Holograms(holographic polishes) and the Shifters(duochrome polishes).
While browsing the Formula X display recently, I came across a polish that was simply perfect for New Years Eve. Explosive is part of the Superwatts collection which features polishes with a jelly base that are chock full of multi-sized holographic glitters. I picked Explosive because of its black base; it will go well with practically any makeup look and outfit. The formula of the polish is pretty good, not too thick, but due to the jelly base you may have to do more than two coats to achieve a fully opaque look. If you do not want to do the multiple coats, then I suggest putting on a coat of a black polish and then layering Explosive on top. This might also work better for those of you that want a little less glitter for your manicure. For the glitterbomb lovers out there, not to worry, this polish is packed with glitter.
I also want to mention that the Superwatts collection also features: Lightening (green base), Spark (orange base), Voltage (red base) and Outburst (blue base). So check out the collection and all the Formula X polishes on your next visit to your local Sephora or just go to www.sephora.com
