Suge Knight shot 6 times at VMA pre-party: Riddled in bullets, walks out of club

A shooting at a Sunset Strip nightclub left record label mogul Suge Knight critically wounded along with two unnamed women. Early Sunday morning gunshots rang out at the 10 AK club in West Hollywood. Founder of Death Row Records, Suge, who is no stranger to shootings, is in intensive care with gunshot wounds to his stomach, arms and other areas. His family reports today that he is expected to survive, according to the Washington Times on Aug. 24.

One woman is in critical condition today and the other one is reported to be in stable condition, both suffering from gunshot wounds. R&B singer Chris Brown was co-hosting the party along with Pia Mia at the nightclub where the shooting occurred. Brown and Pia Mia were both inside the nightclub at the time of the shooting, but neither were in harm’s way, reports the San Francisco Gate today.

An updated report from Wicked Local News reports that Suge was shot six times during the pre-VMA party and he is in intensive care at a California hospital today. The record label magnet was at the 10AK nightclub in West Hollywood and after being rushed to the hospital by ambulance, he went into surgery due to the gunshot wounds.

Celeb Dirty Laundry reports that despite being shot six times, Suge was able to walk out of the nightclub on his own accord. An officer met him on his way out the door and got him to a squad car while he waited for an ambulance.

The rapper, The Game, arrived at this party around midnight, but was denied entry and he got into an altercation with the security guards at the club. Members of his entourage went inside, but not The Game. In 2005 Surge was shot at a MTV VMA pre-party. That party was hosted by Kanye West. Suge was shot and robbed during that incident, according to the Washington Times.

Suge was with Tupac the night he died in probably the most notorious drive-by shootings in Los Angeles back in the ‘90s. He was driving the car that Tupac was in when he was shot dead by unknown assailants.

Celeb Dirty Laundry suggests that "most insiders believed that Suge was a huge part of the setup that killed Tupac." Suge was just inches away from Tupac in the car and not shot once. This is the third shooting Suge has been in while in Hollywood. He was shot in two of the three shootings, all that seem to have some ties to the music business.

Earlier today due to the medical privacy laws the hospital could not release any information on Suge’s condition and they wouldn’t even confirm if he was being treated there or not. Now that the reports are out, people weren't expecting to hear that Suge was in intensive care as the shooting seemed to be played down a bit.

Suge works magic with his record label, he makes megastars out of his clients, which included Tupac. He also put Dr. Dre and Snoop Dog on the map. Suge and the rappers he represented were said to “shifted the center of the rap universe to the West Coast in the ‘90s," reports Wicked Local News today.
