Jennifer Nettles' much anticipated solo album, 'That Girl' hit stores on Tues. Jan. 14. The 39-year-old singer, who is one half of award-winning country duo 'Sugarland,' wrote or co-wrote ten of her eleven tunes on 'That Girl.'

Though she has experienced much success alongside her musical partner Kristian Bush, the multi-talented songstress had some other dreams of her own.

"I put no conscious guides or governors on the creation of this album other than to write songs that I want to sing. ... The result is an album that plays to my roots -- country, '70s radio, gospel and singer-songwriter."

Her title cut has already been released to radio, and as Nettles is used to - it was another chart-topper.

Producer Rick Rubin (Johnny Cash, Dixie Chicks) is the man behind her latest project.

The country star rose to fame in 2004, when the group (which was originally a trio) released their break-through song, 'Baby Girl.' The smash hits continued, and to date, 'Sugarland' has been nominated for 69 awards - 18 of which they have won.

After a tragic stage collapse at the Indiana State Fair in 2011 which killed seven people, the duo took some time away from the spotlight to reflect and to examine where they wanted to go next. Nettles soon married Justin Miller - her boyfriend of two years who had appeared in her 2006 'Want To' video. The pair welcomed their first son Magnus in 2012.

As Bush and Nettles continue to support one another, she is currently promoting her debut album in various places throughout the week. On Tuesday, she appeared on NBC's Today Show and CBS's Late Show With David Letterman. She is also scheduled to guest star on Yahoo Ram Country, The Chew, and The View this week as well.

Have you purchased Nettles' new album? If not, do you plan to do so? What do you think about her debut single?
