Perhaps over the summer, your preschooler's older siblings went away to summer camp, and he was sad that he couldn't go to. Now is his opportunity to take part in the fun of camping, without even having to pack a bag! Sugar Grove Nature Center is offering Little Wonders: Little Campers on Wednesday, Sept. 18.
Little Campers is and hour-and-a-half program for children ages three through five and their adult partners. Two identical classes will be offered; choose from the 10 a.m. time slot or the 1 p.m. session. The program will involve snacks, stories and a craft, all with a camping theme.
Advance registration is required. Call 309-874-2174 or email register@sugargrovenaturecenter.org to sign up. The cost is $5 per child for members of Sugar Grove Nature Center and $8 per child for non-members. Registration seven days before the start of the program is preferred.
Sugar Grove is located in Funks Grove in McLean County. It's off of Old Route 66, south of Bloomington. The Nature Center's current hours are 9 a.m.-5 p.m. on Tuesday through Friday, 10 a.m.-3 p.m. on Saturday and noon-4 p.m. on Sunday.
