Suffolk County housekeeper accused of murder

A Suffolk County housekeeper has been arrested, charged with murdering the baby that she had recently given birth to.

However, the young woman has so far maintained that the baby was not born alive. She is being held without bail. According to the prosecution, the woman had apparently tried to dispose of the dead child, putting the body into a bag and telling her husband to dispose of it.

While cases such as these never really make sense, the fact of the matter is that a child is still no longer living, regardless of the circumstances which caused the death. Even if the child was in fact stillborn, the woman in this case also make a truly poor decision in choosing to have her husband dispose of the body.

It is not clear exactly what caused the baby's death, although there were several fractures to the skull.
