Sue Paterno's interview to air on 'Katie' on February 12th (Video)

The widow of former Penn State head football coach Joe Paterno has spoken with TV reporter Kate Couric.

The interview will air on Monday, February 12th at 3 pm eastern on Couric's nationally sydicated TV show, Katie. She has been silent in the months after her husband's death.

Sue let her feelings known after her husband was fired by the Penn State Board of Trustees in November 2011. It has been 15 months since that time and Bill O'Brien has taken over.

Couric visted the Paterno home to do the interview. There will also be segments of the interview that will take place in a studio.

When Joe died at 85 of lung cancer, he left $13.4 million dollars in state pension benefits to his wife to his wife. She plans to donate $1.5 million dollars to charity.

Previously, the Paternos gave $7.5 million to the university and to other charitable causes.
