This year marks SubCulture's first in what will become an annual Holiday Concert Series dedicated to celebrating a diverse collection of NY artists along with original music and holiday classics. The series kicked off on Tuesday, Dec. 17 and will continue through Dec. 22, introducing different special guests each night. Plus family-friendly matinee performances will be held Friday through Sunday at 11 a.m.! In addition, all are encouraged to bring clothing donations that will be collected to benefit Housing Works.
The holiday house band includes Laila Biali (vocals & piano), Steve Elliott (guitar), Alan Hampton (bass), Gregg Kallor (piano), Jo Lawry (vocals) Ben Wittman (percussion). Special Guests include Nemr and Vasandani tomorrow evening, David Edgar (cello) on Dec. 20 and Kate McGarry (vocals) on Dec. 21. Pianist and vocalist Peter Eldridge was the special guest for the Series' opening night.
