Su Jung Lee to make debut as UFC Octagon girl this weekend

According to a report Thursday on ProMMAInsider.com, the UFC has once again added a new girl to their Octagon stable.

In recent trips abroad, the UFC has made it their practice to add new guest Octagon girls. Such is the case with this weekend’s UFC on FUEL TV 8 event from Tokyo.

Su Jung Lee, a Korean model and TV personality will join Kang Yebin, who worked an event last year, as the only two Korean girls to grace the Octagon for the UFC.

“It’s really nerve-wracking but also exciting to be chosen as a UFC ring girl,” Lee stated in an official release. “I want to show all the fans the charms of a Korean ring girl.”

Working with Su Jung Lee at the event will be Japan’s own Azusa Nishigaki who will be making her second appearance at a UFC event. She had previously worked at UFC 144, which also took place in Saitama.

Su Jung Lee will become the fourth new girl to make an appearance inside the Octagon in 2013. Carly Baker made her debut at UFC on FUEL TV 7 from London, becoming the first European Octagon girl, when she worked that event alone. In January, Brazilian natives Camila Olivera and Aline Franzoi made their debuts as well.

“UFC on FUEL TV 8: Silva vs. Stann” takes place Sunday at Saitama Super Arena in Saitama, Japan. The main event will feature former PRIDE champion Wanderlei Silva facing off against former WEC champ Brian Stann. However, because of the time difference between Japan and the United States, it will air stateside on Saturday.
