Styx, Foreigner and Don Felder are set to bring one of the most highly-anticipated concert tours, “The Soundtrack of Summer” to Cincinnati on Thursday, June 5 at the Horseshoe Casino. The show starts at 7 p.m.

“As longtime friends, we’re happy to join Styx and Don Felder for the ultimate soundtrack of summer,” said founding Foreigner member and lead guitarist Mick Jones in a recent press release. “Our combined songs are some of America’s favorite summer anthems, and we’re excited to be bringing them to our fans across the country.”

“This tour will have the best vocalists and guitarists on the road today,” added Eagles guitarist Don Felder. “The sheer volume of our combined catalogs is massive and should satisfy any rock & roll fan, and rock them until they can’t walk out of the place.”

In conjunction with the 2014 summer tour, Foreigner and Styx have released a new album project of the same title, “The Soundtrack of Summer,” which recently became available on May 6. The project features 16 best-loved classics by both bands, and is available exclusively at Walmart. A few of the songs featured on the effort include Foreigner hits such as, “Cold As Ice,” “Juke Box Hero” and “I Want To Know What Love Is." Several of the Styx favorites include “The Grand Illusion,” “Blue Collar Man” and “Renegade.” Another highlight on the CD is a brand new interpretation of one of Classic Rock’s most successful songs, “Hotel California.” The song’s original songwriter Don Felder teamed up with Foreigner and Styx for a fresh collaboration.

In related music news, Felder recently re-released his critically acclaimed solo album, “Road To Forever: Extended Edition” in March, which includes four additional songs: “Can’t Stop Now,” “Southern Bound,” “She Runs Free” and “Sensuality.”

Combined, Styx, Foreigner and Don Felder have sold over 250 million albums worldwide. They’ve had 36 #1 and Top 10 hit singles that are frequently played on Classic Rock radio. Additionally, they’ve performed thousands of concerts worldwide to countless crowds. It’s an exciting time this summer as three of the most legendary names in rock come together for a U.S. Summer tour.

The cost of a general admission ticket for the concert at The Shoe is $65.73 per ticket. For more information, or purchase a ticket, visit www.soundtrackofsummer.com and www.Ticketmaster.com. This is an outdoor event. All shows are rain or shine. “The Soundtrack of Summer” tour kicked-off on May 14 in Wichita, KS at the Intrust Bank Arena.
