Fashion week may have come to an end but the buzz surrounding Madisonpark Collective's show is still very much alive! Style Fashion Week hosted the runway show at the Vibiana, March 14, 2013. The cathedral was packed with media, stylist, editors and guests of the designer, Trey Alligood III.
Madisonpark debuted their womenswear collection which complimented the tasteful frocks from the menswear. Staying true to their appeal, the show included enticing music, choreographed dances and gorgeous models. This season the designer presented a compilation full of vibrant autumn colors including: a mustard canary colored jacket, moss green trousers and an electric Princeton orange knitted sweater. While watching presumably onlookers felt transported to a casual fall day in September.
Striking twins strutted down the colorless runway wearing skinny jeans balancing the silk-like matching tops with plunging necklines. The ladies collection was full of blazers, knitted sweaters and slimming bottoms. A stand-out look included a model rocking a navy colored blouse paired with a houndstooth printed coat as well as a knee-length persimmon colored jacket layered on top of Cornell colored denims and a floral button-down top. Overall, there were numerous pieces that are well-suited for fall and the in between seasons that can often be cumbersome to dress for.
Finding affordable stylish men's clothing can feel like a constant uphill battle but Madisonpark offered the Los Angeles man a variety of looks to suit his taste. Male models paraded down the runway in denim, leather motorcycle jackets, scarves and multipurpose sweaters. Six packs, no not beer, but chiseled abs also walked down the runway igniting the crowd. The accessories also aided in creating this masterful cohesive collection that appeared to pay tribute to the casual lifestyle of the Angelino working man.
It was a playful, charismatic ready-to-wear collection that stood-out in a hectic week full of stellar designs.
