This so-called “storm ghost” fills the popular 5 blue casting cost flyer space. While no Baneslayer Angel or Bloodgift Demon, Sturmgeist is a wonderful creature to have around when you’ve got plenty of cards in your hand to fuel it. Landing hits with Sturmgeist will allow you to draw ahead of the opponent, both increasing your Sturmgeist’s size and allowing you access to more options and resources.
Sturmgeist seems slightly unwieldy for Standard consideration at this time, but with a focus on Spirit tribe interactions, things could change. Sturmgeist shines as a Limited all star, a worthy card to give blue a definite consideration when you’re staring down this potential game winner as you crack open a pack.
Even a few hits with a reasonably sized 3/3 or 4/4 Sturmgeist will tip the scales in your favor – Your Spirit getting bigger is a nice plus to this, but the additional cards will ensure that the advantage stays on your side.
Sturmgeist is featured in the Eldritch Onslaught Intro Pack, likely alongside some card drawing effects to enhance this knowledge-hungry Spirit’s frame before sending it into battle.
