A "Justified" stuntwoman has sued the show for injuries that she sustained while working on a recent episode. According to a report by TMZ on Friday (Feb. 1), both the woman and her husband have filed claims in this case.
The stunt in question reportedly took place back in 2011 and involved Lisa Hoyle (the stuntwoman) getting injured when a vehicle smashed into a parked car. That parked car then ran over her ankle and sent her to the ground with a head injury that caused her to lose consciousness.
The suit goes on to claim that her relationship with her husband also came to an end because of the on-set accident, causing her to seek additional damages. There has not been a statement released by the team at "Justified," nor from anyone else on that side of the case just yet.
"Justified" is currently in its fourth season on FX and airs Tuesday nights at 10 pm. The show stars Timothy Olyphant as a Kentucky marshal who follows his own set of rules. It has been a very successful show for the network and has even garnered several awards during its first few years on the air. That a stuntwoman sued the show likely won't get it canceled or anything, but this is probably a very serious case for the network.
