Pup urgently in need of rescue
CACC Transfer Team

Little information accompanies a Chicago Animal Care and Control photo of a six-month-old pit bull mix puppy who has been held at the Illinois facility since August 6.

When the National Dog News Examiner reached out to a volunteer at the facility for more information, the response included a few dire words:

Has one blue and one brown eye. Available now. Quiet in cage.
Veryyyyy urgent. Beyond urgent.

The puppy's intake notes indicate that he was a stray who was picked up on W. Madison in Chicago, Ill., and the animal control officer noted the word "nice."

The pup, known only by his identification number A114600, needs to be secured by an approved Homeward Bound rescue partner; judging by the emailed received from the shelter volunteer, he needs to be secured soon.

This puppy is "rescue only" read more about the facility's designation for rescue only at this link. Rescue agencies struggle to find room for all of the dogs who need to be saved from animal control facilities - read more about how you can help in this article about fostering.

Please take a moment to network this beautiful puppy's information - before he is lost forever.
