Update 7/28/14: Rescued by Pryor's Planet!
A stunning, three-year-old German shepherd dubbed "Hanley," is confused over the loss of his home. The dog was picked up as a stray on July 7 and taken to the Los Angeles County Animal Care and Control facility in Baldwin Park, Calif. Not long after his stray hold was up, Hanley managed to get adopted.
Unfortunately, the person who adopted Hanley did not give him much of a chance to settle in and show his true colors...just one day after he was adopted, his new owner returned him.
Owner surrendered dogs are not given the same amount of time as stray dogs...Hanley needs a helping hand to walk free from the facility.
The first time this handsome boy was impounded at the animal control facility, shelter volunteers took a video of him and sang his praises...he was noted to be attentive, eager to please, alert and sweet.
The volunteers also made the observation that Hanley is underweight and confused. German shepherds thrive in the company of "their person," and it comes as no surprise that this dog is upset to be sitting alone in a kennel run, surrounded by the barks of other confused and agitated dogs.
