Italian designer Donatella Versace presented her much-anticipated Versace Fall 2013 Womenswear collection in a stunning fashion show for Milan Fashion Week Womenswear Fall/Winter 2013/14 on February 22, 2013 in Milan, Italy.
Versace Womenswear Autumn/Winter 2013/2014 is all about slick patent leather, plaid as paired with patent leather pieces and bold animal prints. Spikes and studs embellish many of the designs in this Versace Fall 2013 collection.
A scoop-necked white patent leather skirt and top ensemble, belted at the waist, is teamed in contrast with studded black boots with metallic toes.
Similarly, a black patent leather dress with black and white plaid is teamed with contrasting studded metal-toed white boots – the look is quite edgy – almost punk!
There are several other plaid pieces, such as the yellow and black plaid dress, the black and white full-length plaid coat (teamed with slick black patent leather!) and several tuxedo style cropped jackets.
But it’s not all about the plaid – Versace Fall 2013 also offers bright yellow and red trench style coats, a black and white zebra coat with red and black leopard lapels and a combination yellow and black leopard and zebra patterned coat, sure to perk up the gloomiest of winter days...
A spiked choker – or is that part of the garment? – accessorizes a red gown with thigh-high slit and spiked bodice, while black leather pants are fully studded with tiny gold studs.
Back to the slick patent leather pieces, there are even a couple of very edgy solid black and solid white gowns with nude detailing in the way of cutouts that bare the torso or leg enticingly.
Several of Donatella’s boots in this striking collection get the stud treatment as well. You could say that Donatella Versace has a way with studs…
