Whether you knit, crochet, weave, spin, craft...having your own studio to create in, is at the top of most fiberistas wish list. Editorial director of "Studios" magazine Jenn Mason says, "Basements, spare rooms and little corners of space can be just what we need to start creating." Brenda Lavell has a terrific article in "Studios", on 'How to Find your target market'. You will be able to relate to this designer as she is a yarn dyer. Trying to lead a balanced life? Susan Lenart Kazmer takes you on a photo story of how she has learned to juggle family, business and the art of mixed media along with jewelry design. Then, there are pages and pages of eye candy studios and suggestions for your studio.

Maybe you already have a studio and would like to change it up, 'create an experience'. There are ideas using paint to freshen up furniture (even leather and vinyl) as well as stenciling walls. You will find tables and desks that have dual purposes and can blend easily into a too small space.

"Studios" winter issue magazine will make a great stocking stuffer. It will also inspire. Who wouldn't like a bit of inspiration.
