Many colleges and universities are on spring break. Some students simply take a vacation. Others use the time to visit family and friends. And still others use the time to prepare for internships.
"I am hoping to gain some work experience this summer," said Marlene Katz, a resident of Miami.
"I am going to be working at my restaurant job," said Olinda Hankmeyer, a North Miami resident who is working on a degree in hospitality management.
"I will apply for summer internships because I need experience in marketing and communication," said Raymond Alger, a Miami Beach resident.
