Students look for jobs during spring break

Many South Florida colleges and universities are now on spring break. This means students are pounding the pavement looking for jobs and internships during the summer and after graduation. Some are hoping to get entry level jobs that will lead to careers while others are hoping to get any reasonable job that will pay for college expenses.

"I will probably work in the family construction business during this summer. Eventually I hope to land a position in the legal field. I would like to begin as a paralegal and I hope to go to law school," Brandon Hardy.

"I will wait tables during the summer probably at the same restaurant I am at right now. But I hope to get an internship at a marketing company. I am making contacts with marketing companies this week and next," said Karina Schmidt.

"I want to get into broadcasting and I am looking for an internship, even an unpaid one. I contacted some stations during spring break," said Carlos Perez.

"I will be working in the restaurant industry probably as a server this summer. I am worked during spring break," said Maria Gonzalez.
