This weekend is the International SportsCar Weekend at the world famous Circuit of the Americas in Austin, TX which kicks off September 20 through September 22. As one of the featured series during the weekend, the American Le Mans Series presented by Tequila Patrón (ALMS) has established a partnership with the Austin Hatcher Foundation through its “Fueling Potential: Racing to Win” campaign dedicated to helping pediatric cancer patients and their families. Students from the 5th grade classes from Popham Elementary School in the Del Valle ISD got a chance to participate in an educational program and paddock tour. Students also got autographs from WEC driver Martin Plowman of the Oak Racing Team.
Three-day tickets for the International SportsCar Weekend at Circuit of The Americas are still available for $79 and allow guests the option of sitting in a reserved seat or viewing the action from one of the spacious general admission areas positioned around the 3.4-mile racetrack. Students and military members can purchase three-day tickets for $49 when they present a valid student or military ID at the Circuit Grand Plaza Ticket Office. Children 12 and under receive free admission when accompanied by a ticketed adult.
