Students find Sarah Palin’s speaking contract in trash; luxury requests prompt investigation. Tuesday, students at a California State University, Stanislaus found a 5-page contract addendum between the school and Sarah Palin who has been hired to speak there in June. The document has prompted a state investigation into the state university and their refusal to speak about the contract, the Associated Press reported Wednesday.
The March 16, 2010 document reveals the things that Palin has required for her speaking engagement. Students began to look through the trash after they heard the university was shredding paperwork related to Palin.
According to the contract, Palin requested the following:
• Audience questions will be pre-screened and selected ahead of time
• Palin's water bottles will have bendable straws and not straight ones
• Palin will get three rooms at a luxury hotel nearby
• Palin will get first-class plane tickets to the speaking engagement
If Palin doesn't fly on a commercial airplane then "the private aircraft MUST BE a Lear 60 or larger."
Sarah Palin has been reserved about how much she is paid for speaking engagements, but several reports state that she gets about $100,000 for each one. This contract doesn’t have a stated amount that Palin will be paid. Estimates put Sarah Palin’s earning at $12 million-plus since she resigned as Governor of Alaska last July.
Senator Leland Yee (D-San Francisco) made the document public Tuesday after the state university refused to turn over information regarding the contract.

Palin, 46, was governor of Alaska from 2006 until she stepped down in 2009. Since the 2008 presidential election, Palin released the book, “Going Rogue: An American Life” that speaks about American values.
Sarah Palin has also been hired as a commentator on Fox News. Palin made an appearance in Salt Lake City, Utah in December for a book signing to promote her book. Salt Lake City is one of three US cities currently under review to have the 2012 GOP conference.

I think sarah palin is an idiot if she believes she has to have all the things she put into that so-called contract. What is so important that anybody or college would pay her $100,000.00 to talk encessantly about whatever? She should go back to being a mother and grandmother and leave politics to people who have far more intelligence than her. The thought of her being president is very scary.
