Student suspended after disarming gunman: In what amounts to a very bizarre yet seemingly heroic story, a student has been told by his school that he’s been suspended, despite the very real possibility that his efforts helped to save the life of his classmates.
While on a bus headed to Cypress Lake High School, a 16-year-old student claims that he prevented a potential tragedy. While on the bus, the boy says that he became alarmed with a 15-year-old peer pulled out a gun.
Aiming it at another student, the 16-year-old decided to spring into action and tackle the alleged suspect.
"I think he was really going to shoot him right then and there," said the student, who declined to be identified according to Fox News.
But now, the high school has suspended the student, despite his attempt to prevent an alleged crime from taking place. In fact, the student has since been put on “emergency suspension.”
But why is he suspended, exactly? The details still aren’t crystal clear, but we do know that the school has decided to suspend him for his role in the “incident”—even if that role may have been to save the lives of his classmates.
