It is Forte Animal Rescue’s fifth participation in the Strut Your Mutt fundraising event on September 6. Those who wish to support the organization can donate to Team Forte or join the team for an early-evening twilight walk (dogs are welcome too), followed by an outdoor festival with activities for humans and canines alike! And there will be Eat|See|Hear (LA’s premiere outdoor movie, food truck, and live music event series) to bring your doggie-themed activities, featuring the famous Canine Cafe and Ruff & Relax, to an end. Then there are live music and a movie in the park to conclude a day of strutting for orphaned animals.

More than five million precious lives are put to death in pounds every year. Supporting Forte Animal Rescue is one way you can help to change this tragic reality.

Forte Animal Rescue is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to finding solutions for the problem of pet overpopulation through its educational activities, animal adoption efforts, and outreach program. Based in Marina del Rey, CA, Forte was established in 2003. To date, the organization has saved the lives of more than 1,100 dogs.

A 100% no-kill rescue, Forte saves all breeds and mixes, from poodles to pit bulls, with the belief that all animals deserve a chance at life. Forte typically has 30 to 40 animals in its adoption program at any given time. Forte holds ongoing adoption events, where people can meet many of the dogs available for adoption.

In addition to ongoing boarding and other expenses, Forte Animal Rescue continually incurs significant veterinary medical expenses for the animals it rescues. Donations or any support is always greatly appreciated. Donations can be made online or via regular mail at PO Box 10085, Marina del Rey, CA 90295. The organization is also looking for foster homes for its rescued dogs, along with volunteers to help its adoption events.
